The Governance Explorers’ Network
At the Governance Action Hub, we aim to strengthen and amplify global efforts towards systems change by promoting collaboration among people committed to making a difference.
However, most of us, throughout our governance-related work, rarely have the opportunity to explore. The incentives of our work are typically structured around the application of technical fixes that focus on one dimension of the problem, rather than examining the system in which the problem is embedded and how to coordinate action across it. Enter the Governance Explorers’ Network.
We propose this as a brave space to co-create and find solutions. We are just showing the potential. What happens next, and how far it goes, depends on you. Over time, members of the network will be able to use this space and the tools we provide—adapted from work done by R4D and many of our partners—to build partnerships, collaborate, and be part of the solution, regardless of your day job.
What will we be doing under the Governance Explorers’ Network?
The Governance Explorers’ Network is set up as a platform to experiment with new ways of bringing people together from diverse perspectives to discuss how to tackle a shared challenge and engage people in the solution of concrete challenges. Some examples this could take shape for different cohorts under the network include:
- Online polls to identify governance challenges and gather perspectives from across the network.
- Podcast episodes that connect local and global perspectives on governance issues.
- Co-creation sessions, where you can contribute ideas to support local stakeholders in the countries where we work through our Local Coalitions for Local Solutions exploration.
Calling All Explorers: Initial Cohorts to Explore
Throughout 2025, we will launch calls for explorers centered on our strategic themes, beginning with climate justice and state capture.
