Samke P. Phewa is a Community Development and Advocacy Coordinator at the Community Organisation Resource Centre (CORC), a member organization of the South African Slum Dwellers International (SASDI) Alliance. Her work focuses on supporting informal settlement communities across South Africa through a range of development and advocacy initiatives.

Her experience includes contributing to housing development projects, supporting savings and livelihoods programs for women, and working with communities to secure access to basic services. She has also coordinated socio-economic surveys to support evidence-based advocacy, managed activities under the Informal Settlement Programme, and led community-driven waste management initiatives aimed at reducing environmental impact.

Her work also involves strengthening circular economy practices such as recycling and composting as part of broader efforts to promote environmental sustainability and climate resilience.
