Oluwabusayomi Sotunde
Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Busayomi Sotunde is the Communications Manager of the Governance Action Hub at R4D. She manages the social media channels, provides strategic communication counsel, and design and contributes to communication outputs produced by the Hub. She is an experienced communications specialist and researcher who enjoys writing, teamwork, and making things happen in multi-cultural settings. A fellow of the International Women’s Media Foundation and Atlas Corps, Busayomi has over a decade of working experience in the media and international development sectors promoting transparency and accountability initiatives, building and engaging digital audiences, and advocating for youth empowerment, good governance, and growth opportunities in sub-Saharan Africa.
Her experience in governance includes serving as the Communications Lead for the TAI Collaborative and the Communications Manager for the Leveraging Transparency to Reduce Corruption program of R4D and Brooking Institute. She sees working in the governance as an opportunity to serve, amplify grassroot voices, and set the agenda for development outcomes.
When she is not working, Busayomi enjoys reading and travelling.
