Political systems rarely stand still while we are trying to change them. Political economy analysis has transformed the way organisations understand power, incentives and institutions. Yet many organisations still struggle to adapt as political systems respond to attempts at reform.
My work explores that next challenge. I work at the intersection of political economy, systems change and governance reform, developing approaches that help organisations move from political analysis towards political navigation. My focus is on helping groups recognise political signals, develop shared political judgement and adapt strategy as political conditions evolve.
Over the past fifteen years I have worked across Africa, the Middle East and Asia with governments, diplomatic missions, international organisations and civil society organisations, supporting governance reform, peacebuilding and institutional change in fragile and politically complex environments.
